Here's why going on a diet is a very, very bad idea
I feel like everyone and their dog is on a post lockdown diet. But, here's why it's a really, really bad idea.
Did you know that dieting is actually the biggest cause of weight gain, long term?
Yo-yo dieting also increases the risk of diseases, like diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
2/3 of dieters will gain back more weight than they originally lose.
A smaller body doesn't equal a healthier body. Health is determined by so much more than a number on a scale.
Helping someone to 'lose weight' is not really helping them improve their health, and can be very very harmful.
We lose trust with our body when we diet. It teaches us to ignore our hunger and fullness queues. It teaches us to ignore our cravings. And then, it teaches us that we are a 'failure' when we give our body what it wants and needs.
Don't do it.
