How To Turn Your Flaws Into Strengths

A flaw is often used to describe something that's unconventional.

There's no such thing as perfection, so what is a flaw?

It's something that exists solely in the mind, as a result of thoughts created by society.

I like to do something called 'mental refurbishment' to spin 'flaws' into superpowers.
This helps us to accept, own and love the very things that make us unique.

Growing up, I considered my nose to be a flaw. I thought I had a big nose.
Anyway, who's to say that big noses are bad?
But with a bit of a mental refurbishment, my big nose is not a flaw - I have a winning sense of smell.

I can be stubborn at times, but with a bit of mental refurbishment, I like to label it as perseverant.

You think you're weird because you have a bath in your living room?
I bet you are living your best life at 8pm when Eastenders is on the TV and you're in the bath sipping a glass of bubbly. #WINNING.

With a bit of mental refurbishment, we can all encourage self-acceptance, boost our confidence and ignore the haters.
