How to silence your inner critic
Do you have that niggling voice in your head?
You know the little one that nags away, all day, she criticises you; tells you that your ideas are stupid, you look ugly or you're not as worthy as them.
She's a bitch.
But it's okay, she's not real - she lies.
This voice is created and formed using your early life experiences - including things you've been told, witnessed or attitudes that you have picked up.
So why do you let it rule your life?
But that whiney, bitchy voice snaps in at the last moment to tell you that "it's silly" and you just accept it.
The whiney bitch also probably tells you that someone is prettier than you, better than you or everyone hates you.
Lies. Again.
You can shut this cow up and take back the control. Just follow these few steps:
1. Acknowledge
Not only is she bitchy and whiney, she's also rowdy. The more you try to quieten her, the louder she gets. Listen to her, hear her and acknowledge what she is saying. But don't believe it.
Why is she telling you this? Does she have any evidence? Probably not. Rationalise it in your brain.
Affirm yourself the complete opposite of what she is saying.
Do the opposite of what she is telling you. She doesn't like to be proven wrong, so do it. Show her, and she will soon quieten down.
Bitchy Beatrice may never completely go away (she's clingy). Using this method can seriously quieten her and minimise the impact she has in your life.
Never let Beatrice stop you from blooming into the best version of yourself,
Kate xx
