How many versions of you are there?
A different version of you exists in the minds of everyone who knows you.
The person that you define as “yourself” exists only in your mind.
Every person you encounter: friends, colleagues, someone you made eye contact with in the street has formed their own version of ‘you’ in their heads.
You are not the same person to your mum, your dad or your siblings as you are to your friends, co workers or your neighbours.
There are literally thousands of you.
You also have absolutely no control over the way each person perceives you.
Freaky, huh?
I remember when I first came to this realisation. It terrified me.
But I made a promise to myself to accept myself unconditionally.
Through the good, through the bad and love everything in between because the only the only opinion about you that matters is your own.
Acceptance of yourself is far more important than the acceptance from others.
You could be the most beautiful rainbow in the world and everyone sees light and rainbows when they look at you. But if you, yourself don’t know it? All of that doesn’t matter.
Let go. Stop trying to control the version of ‘you’ that everyone sees.
Be unapologetically you, with no shame and no regrets; you will attract people who love you, quirks and everything - you will love them just the same.
I think that finding happiness within yourself is the only way to be truly free.
You are magic, own that shit🤍
